Unit measurement at site by measurement tape

MEASUREMENT TAPE USE AT SITE BY ANY SITE WORKER , SITE  SUPERVISOR AND SITE ENGINEER

For video click on it πŸ‘ˆ

INTRODUCTION

Every site site worker , supervisor and engineer should know how to read measurement tape become it must to know for every one without this not possible to proceed work because work proceed with measurement for accuracy and ferfect quality work

Msut know basics before going for site work

   1.) 1 inch        =  8 soot

   2.) 1 inch        = 2.54 cm

   3.) 1 feet         = 12 inch

   4.) 1 feet         =  30.48 cm

    5.)  1 Yard      = 3 feet

    6.)  1 yard      = 36 inch

     7.) 1 yard      = 91.44 cm

     8.) 1cm         = 10 mm

     9.)  1 M         = 100cm

     10.) 1 M        = 1000 mm

Trick for remainder

My focus to know in easy way

So,  we have to categories in part of measurement tap by drawing line in middle

Like see in image

If we want to  learn measurement tape how to read without confusion 1st of all we dividen into top and bottom

Top  side measurement focus for

    = soot, inch ,feet , yard

Bottom side measurement focus for

  = mm , cm , metre

Remaining all unit covert on basic of conversion unit

Pilling foundation work

                  Pile foundations

Pile foundations are principally used to transfer the loads from superstructures, through weak, compressible strata or water onto stronger, more compact, less compressible and stiffer soil or rock at depth, increasing the effective size of a foundation and resisting horizontal loads

Pile foundations layout plan

  πŸ‘‰For detail explanation of layout plan in video click on it

Following are the situations when using a pile foundation system can be

  • When the groundwater table is high.
  • Heavy and non-uniform loads from superstructure are imposed.
  • Other types of foundations are costlier or not feasible.
  • When the soil at shallow depth is compressible.
  • When there is the possibility of scouring, due to its location near the river bed or seashore, etc.
  • When there is a canal or deep drainage systems near the structure.
  • When soil excavation is not possible up to the desired depth due to poor soil condition.
  • When it becomes impossible to keep the foundation trenches dry by pumping or by any other measure due to heavy inflow of seepage.

Concrete mix design & mix ratio of concrete

         Mix ratio of concrete

Theory:-

 πŸ‘‰The process of selecting suitable ingredients of concrete and determining their relative amounts with the objective of producing a concrete of the required, strength, durability, and workability as economically as possible is termed the concrete mix design.

Mix Ratio = X:Y:Z

X= cement

Y= Sand

Z = aggregate

for example taking M15

M = Mix

15 = 15 N/mm2 or MPa  in 28 days curing

( compressive strength of concrete in 28 curing days after casting )

There are two types of mix

1.) Nominal Mix

2.) Design mix

1.)Nominal  Mix Proportions

In the past the specifications for concrete prescribed the proportions of cement, fine and coarse aggregates

These mixes of fixed cement-aggregate ratio which ensures adequate strength are termed nominal mixes.

M25   =1:1:2

M20  = 1:1.5:3

M15  = 1:2:4

M10  = 1:3:6

M7.5 = 1:4:8

M5    = 1:5:10

Addition of water πŸ’§in mix

It's varies from 45% to 60% of cement quantity mixing  with sand and aggregate for concrete

Like this we can say

M20     ------- 45%

.

.

.

.M5     ---------- 60%

Steel bars weight per meter

                STEEL WEIGHT FINDING

 Formula :-

W= (D^2 x L)/162

Here,

D =denotes dia of bars

L =denotes total length of steel bars

W = denotes weight of steel per units lenght

Example 1.

Take 12 mm dia of bar and we have to find weight of  one metere lenght  steel

 W = (D²/162 ) × lenght of steel

 W = (12²/162)×1

 W = 144/162

 W=0.888 kg

      Weight of steel bars per meter

  • For 6 mm dia bar, the weight will be 0.222 kg
  • For 8 mm dia bar, the weight will be 0.395 kg
  • For 10 mm dia bar, the weight will be 0.616 kg
  • For 12 mm dia bar, the weight will be 0.888 kg
  • For 16 mm dia bar, the weight will be 1.578 kg
  • For 20 mm dia bar, the weight will be 2.466 kg
  • For 25 mm dia bar, the weight will be 3.853 kg
  • For 32 mm dia bar, the weight will be 6.313 kg
  • For 40 mm dia bar, the weight will be 9.865 kg

Slab casting before start friction slab with crash barrier casting work

SLAB CASTING

Before start the  casting of friction slab we should 1st casting of slab ..where we put mould on it start casting of friction slab with crash barrier.....

Here we casting of dimension
L= 21M
B=2.5 M
H=0.125M (125mm)
Concrete mix = M15  here we are  using

NOTE:- If you are planning of friction slab with crash barrier casting then follow it because I am actually working on it ..time to time I will regularly update with photo and explanation as much as required on site

How to find steel cutting lenght

                 Steel Cutting Lenght

         what is cutting length?

length of Steel which is provided in slab and cut into desire length according to requirement of design of slab is known as cutting length.

In construction field many time we have to do work according to BBS ...In this there is  one  things are most important

                    # Cutting lenght of steel
                      # Drawing lenght of steel ( given)

πŸ‘‰In the construction  work  we make differentdifferent shape of steel According to drawing  ..so we have to bend the steel at different different angel and circular also
We have varieties of steel diameter

These are different diameter we company use in construction
                   1.) 6 mm
                   2.) 10 mm
                   3.) 12 mm
                   4.) 16 mm
                    5. ) 20 mm etc.....

If we are bending  45 Degree one time then we have to decrease  some lenght in Drawing lenght for getting Cutting lenght

Cutting lenght = Drawing Lenght- Decrease lenght

   Cutting lenght              =?
   Drawing lenght            =given
   Decreasing  lenght    = By formula

     πŸ‘‰Decreasing lenght finding

If we bending in Angle          Decreasing lenght
      45 degree                                     1D
      90 degree                                     2D
      135 degree                                   3D
                                  etc ...
  Here D= Diameter of steel

Q. If we bending 12mm steel one time at 45 degree his drawing lenght 1M (M= meter)

Cutting lenght = 1M- 1D
                           = 1M - 1×12mm
                           = 1M- 12mm
                           = 1M- 0.012 M
                           = 0.988 M
Q. If we bending 12mm steel one time at 90 degree his drawing lenght 1M (M= meter)

Cutting lenght = 1M- 2D
                           = 1M - 2×12mm
                           = 1M- 24mm
                           = 1M- 0.024 M
                           = 0.976 M
             etc ......
